Quality Mold Testing is the leading provider of mold inspection services in Miami and across South Florida to various residences, educational facilities, government buildings and other commercial properties like hotels and corporate offices. We are an independent company that conducts professional mold testings to provide you with the trusted information you need.

South Florida is well known for many things. It’s safe to say that tourists come to visit for for the sunshine but the residents are all too familiar with the rain and humidity. The amount of moisture in the air leaves homeowners, tenants, realtors, hotels and other property owners with one huge problem: MOLD. We’ve seen it in our expired loaf of bread, maybe on a dirty dish or in the corner of the tub where you leave your favorite bottle of shampoo. You usually spot mold because of it’s green, gray and brown color; but, what is it? Should you consider scheduling a mold inspection?

Mold: What is it and why it’s a problem

Mold or mold spores are incredibly small – basically microscopic – organisms that float through the air around us. To give you a better idea of how tiny mold spores can be, just think about how small a pin is. Now imagine 300,000 mold spores living comfortable on the head of that pin. When mold travels the air and lands on a spot with a good amount of moisture, it begins to grow and spread; eventually releasing the new mold spores back into the air where they can easily land on your skin or be inhaled through your mouth and nose. Exposing yourself and others to a large amount of mold can put you at risk for many complications but don’t go running for the Lysol™ just yet! Like we said, mold is a widespread problem existing everywhere but the issue lies in how much growth is within or around the property.

Reasons for a Mold Inspection

Has your home or commercial property experienced recent water damage? Is there a weird odor lingering around your home? Are you considering purchasing a new home? Are you a property owner with a facility that receives many guests? If you answered yes to any (or all) of these questions, then it’s time for you to call Quality Mold Testing. Many times visible growth indicates that the contamination may have started well before you noticed. Because mold can basically grow wherever moisture flows, things like: leaky sinks in the kitchen or steam from hot daily showers in the bathroom can invite floating mold spores to start a colony and spread. Allowing the mold to grow will not only put your health at risk but will also put your property at risk for heavy damage. If you’re a property owner or landlord, you should protect yourself from liability against Florida and federal regulations that can affect your business, your brand’s reputation or your workers.

Mold Testing

At Quality Mold Testing, our first priority is to help people understand the facts about mold growth. During a scheduled inspection, one of our consultants will perform various tests including an indoor air quality inspection, a visual analysis, surface sampling and measure humidity levels. The results of each assessment will help our inspectors determine if the levels of mold have reached a toxicity or if your property is still a safe, habitable environment for you and/or family, friends and pets. If there is a problem, our reports will indicate what types of mold are present and how much of it is affecting the property. As environmental consultants we pride ourselves on our ability to identify not only where the mold is present but also why. Knowing where the problem started can help you avoid future contamination.
